Churning separates the solids and the liquids from the cream, with the liquid coming off as buttermilk and the solids being shaped into butter. Our butter takes its golden colour form the grass in the cow’s diet and this is a colour that varies through the seasons along with the pattern of grass growth, with fresh spring grass giving the richest yellows.
Salted Butter
A traditional butter made from churned double cream then shaped, patted, and wrapped by-hand. We make our butter using any cream leftover from each day’s production, meaning there is a limited supply but that just makes it all the more enjoyable spread over your morning toast. With the addition of a little salt to enhance the flavours, our butter is available in 200g blocks.
Unsalted Butter
Just like the salted, this is a traditional butter made from churned double cream then shaped, patted, and wrapped by-hand. We make our butter using any cream leftover from each day’s production, meaning there is a limited supply. With nothing added, this butter is perfect for baking and available in 200g blocks.
