Visits to Nortons Dairy and Church Farm
Are you looking for an outing for your group that’s a little bit special? We are delighted to host visitors on our farm in Frettenham, just north of Norwich, for a farm tour with a difference. To download our Educational Visits brochure, please follow this link.
We can offer a full tour of our mixed dairy and arable farm, taking in our dairy cows, calves, the milking parlour, tractors, machinery and the pasteurizing building where we process our fresh milk into milk, cream and butter. There are plenty of areas under cover if the weather is not so good and we can provide a goody bag to take away at the end of the visit. Themed activities can include a butter or cheese making demonstration, talks on healthy eating, food production, or farming and the countryside in general.
We’ve hosted everyone from pre-schoolers to Scouts, a whole year group to a food technology class, and foodies to food research scientists. We will tailor the tour to suit the group. The tour can be as educational or as fun as you’d like to make it – kids and grown-ups alike love to see the animals and machinery, but it is also a great opportunity to find out about milk, farming and the countryside around us. We charge a small fee per visitor for a tour of around 1 hour 30 mins (longer visits and tastings available by arrangement), and, of course, we have a full risk assessment available.
