Open Day 2009 - Sunday 7 June

1-5pm, Frettenham Village Hall

This year's Church Farm Open Day promises to be bigger and better than ever. Bring the whole family along this Sunday for the chance to ride a tractor and milk a cow, enjoy some old fashioned fun and games, and maybe learn something about the countryside around you along the way. Our very popular farm tours will take in our dairy cows, the calves, the milking parlour (where you might be lucky enough to see David Norton working hard milking while we're out enjoying the sunshine) and the dairy building where we make our fabulous Nortons Dairy produce. Parking will be at Frettenham Village Hall, just a couple of minutes walk from the farm, where there will be machinery displays, gun dogs, loads of fun things for the kids to do and some great local food available, including Nortons Dairy milkshakes and the Shepherd's Hut, serving Norfolk Horn rare-breed lamb burgers - delicious! There'll also be special offers on at the Farm Shop, so make sure your trip includes a visit there too.

BIG PRIZE RAFFLE FOR FAMILIES FIRST: At the Open Day this year we'll be raising money for the Radio Norwich Families First charity - we contacted all of our brilliant business customers to ask for donations for a raffle, and have been absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of their response. The top prize up for grabs in the raffle to be held on Sunday is a one-night stay in a suite at the fabulous Broad House Hotel in Wroxham, including dinner for two, worth £300. What a great prize! Other prizes very generously donated to this worthwhile cause include:
  • a family ticket to BeWILDerwood Adventure Park, Horning
  • a meal for two with wine at the Norfolk Mead Hotel, Coltishall
  •  a hamper of Norfolk goodies, courtesy of AG Thrower & Sons, Ludham,
  •  a family box of home-grown prime Norfolk beef from Nortons Farm Shop, Frettenham, and
  • a voucher worth £40 for the Olive Branch bar, restaurant and delicatessen in Tunstead
Parking and entry to the Open Day will be FREE, as we run the day with the generous help of many friends and neighbours. Just bring yourselves, your children and a smile (plus a bit of money if you fancy the chance of winning one of those great prizes...).

We very much look forward to seeing all of our friends and customers at our Open Day - do come and say hello!
